Solidarity Ride | Ride for World Health
American Medical Student Association : : Miami University

The Miami University chapter of The American Medical Student Assoication (A.M.S.A.) is proud to present this years solidarity ride for the Ride For World Health Campaign 2008:

The Ride for World Health (R4WH) is a national, nonprofit organization which advocates for improvements in the quality and accessibility of global healthcare. Each year, by utilizing a cross-country bike ride as a vehicle of communication, R4WH addresses this issue through political advocacy, fundraising and its unique Coast-to-Coast Lecture Series.

Our ride this year will consist of one of four loops: 20, 35, 65, and 100-miles. Check in for the 100 mile loop begins at 7:15 AM and the riders will start out at 7:45 AM. The other three loops will check in between 7:45 and 8:45 AM and begin riding at 9:00 AM. Food and water will be provided at check in, at rest stops throughout the ride, and at the finish.

The difficulty levels vary (with milage) and will be a great way to kick off your cycling season. There are flats, rolling hills, as well as some steep climbs. The 100-mile loop is similar to the Oxford Odyssey Century Route and is a combination of the 35 and 65-mile loops.

The route will be well marked and we have plenty of rest stops available along the way for your riding comfort! We can't wait to see you there!
