Habitat for Humanity International is a nonprofit organization that seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world. The Miami University chapter is a student run organization that provides students with the opportunity to get involved with this cause.
Our Habitat for Humanity chapter is one of the largest student-run organizations on campus. We provide our members with several opportunities to get involved and make a difference. We send out two to three weekend trips every Saturday to sites in the Tri-State area, two to three weeklong trips over winter and spring break, and also have numerous fundraising events throughout the year.
How do I join?
Any student can become a member by completing the membership form and paying a $25 fee which is used for site donation, food, and transportation. The membership fee covers the entire academic year and enables a member to go on as many weekend trips as he or she would like. Also, members do not commit to a certain number of hours but do get rewarded with T-Shirts when they reach certain milestones. Just fill out the membership form and bring it with your $25 to one of our general meetings (WED 7pm BAC 101) and you're ready to go.
