What is Miami Christian Fellowship?

Miami Christian Fellowship is a Christian organization at Miami University that exists to proclaim Jesus Christ to students and faculty at Miami , while forming a Christian support group of friends and a place to receive teaching and encouragement. We are dedicated to establishing witnessing communities of students and faculty who follow Jesus as Savior and Lord. We are growing in love for God, God's Word, God's people of every ethnicity and culture, and God's mission. We do this through dependent prayer. Miami Christian Fellowship is not a club; it is a mission, from college students to other college students.

MCF is one of many chapters that form the national group called InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. IVCF has existed since 1940, and the Miami chapter has existed since 1957. IVCF was founded at Cambridge University in England before coming to Canada and then the U.S. There are over 700 IVCF chapters in campuses all over the nation. This national organization in turn is part of a large international umbrella group called the International Fellowship of Evangelical Students (IFES).

So what does that mean?

Basically, MCF is a group of students who love Jesus and want to show other people what God has done for all of us. We study the Bible, to learn about who God is, and to apply what we learn so that others around campus can see the hope that we have in Christ. We host conferences to train students and equip them with the necessary tools to reach out to our campus to others. We have numerous activities that teach us further about God, enhance our spiritual discipleship, and seek to improve our devotion to the Lord.

It is an incredible experience to see God work and address the needs on Miamiís campus, and he asks us to join with him in that work. So if youíre interested in finding out more, check out the rest of the webpage and feel free to email us with any questions, ok?
