The Association for Women Students is a feminist student organization composed of individuals who desire to address, through discussion, activism, and support, important issues that specifically concern the women of Miami University. We use grassroots activism to heighten awareness about women's issues and to empower both men and women.

As feminists: We oppose all forms of oppression and restrictions based on a person's gender, race, sexual orientation, ethnicity, age, religion, ability and socioeconomic status. We choose to live our lives free from stereotypes. We believe in the potential of every person. We take action to promote the success of all. We are fully committed to equality and individual choice.

Meetings for spring 2010 are Mondays at 7:00 pm in the Women's Center (210 MacMillan Hall; phone number is 529-1510).
