Dear Ricardo and colleagues who helped organize that fabulous regional CODA conference last weekend:

Congratulations to all involved! You have really set a new high water mark for quality and attendance at a regional CODA conference! The presentations were just fabulous with fabulous speakers, and Ricardo's orchestra concert was totally amazing! What a wonderful conductor and what a wonderful orchestra!!!
I am filled with gratitude and admiration toward Ricardo Averbach and all our colleagues who worked so hard to make last weekend in Ohio such a truly unforgettable event. You have really set a new 'benchmark' in the quality of presentations, concerts and collegial discussion! Congratulations one and all!
In the coming weeks, we look forward to posting on our website many of the pdf and powerpoint files from our presenters as well as scores, recordings (from presentations) and with luck: photos and video excerpts of the conference.
Bravo one and all and thanks so much for a spectacular weekend in Ohio!
On to Chicago in 2012!!

Hi, Ricardo,

Thanks so much for a wonderful conference! You did a magnificent job in
handling the myriad details, planning great sessions and providing good
facilities. And, as I mentioned to you on Saturday night, your concert was
a special treat...especially the Ravel! Well done!

Dear Ricardo,

Please allow me to congratulate you for the wonderful work you did in organizing the CODA conference this past weekend. I realize how much soul and effort you put into it and you are to be commended for your excellent organizational skill in addition to the highest level of musicianship and artistry that you always show. It was a real pleasure to visit your beautiful campus. Your program is now a model to me. BRAVO!

Dear Colleagues,

I would like to let all know that the conference last weekend at Miami University was a great time. I want to applaud Ricardo Averbach for his efforts in making it useful and user-friendly, and people centered. It was also great to meet new people that are both serious professionals and warm human beings. This was my first CODA conference and I look forward to more in the future.

Jon Ceander Mitchell
Professor of Music
Chair, Performing Arts
Conductor, Chamber Orchestra
University of Massachusetts
Boston, Mass.

I just wanted to thank you personally for the terrific conference that you put together for us. Of all the regional conferences, this was by far the best. I would like to say that now you can relax, but we both know that relaxing is not a part of our profession.

Esteban Rojas
Director of Orchestras
Director of the Latin American Music Center
Texas Christian University
Ft. Worth, Texas

Dear Ricardo,

Thanks to you for being such a wonderful host. Congratulation for a successful conference and great job with your orchestra. You made them play very well in a difficult program. I had a great time. I will see you in January.

Micahel Chertock
Director, Blue Ash Symphony
Cincinnati, Ohio

Dear Ricardo and Colleagues:
Although I was only able to come to the presentation on community/university orchestras, I found it to be very meaningful. It is amazing how universal the problems and aspirations of sustaining a large body of musicians. It was refreshing to hear this discussed in an atmosphere that seemed completely free of ego and posturing. You are to be congratulated.

Dr. Kenneth Selden
Director of Orchestral Studies
Portland State University
Portland, Oregon

Dear Ricardo,

It was great to meet you and participate in the conference. I just
realized that, in fact, it was the first time I had a chance to meet
other college orchestra directors. Thank you for all your hard work,
organizing such a valuable conference. I look forward to seeing you
